You should not start with a home wiring project until you are not 100% sure that you can do it by yourself. 1. Switch off the power

Before starting a wiring project, always switch off the power from the main breaker. This is singly the most common injury at construction and wiring sites.

2. Test

Always keep a voltage tester nearby and check if the electrical connection has any electricity before starting your project.

3. Have a proper plan

When starting any kind of project make a plan that can easily be followed. You should have proper knowledge about electric outlets, fixtures and switches, and where they will be placed before starting your wiring project. Also make sure you have sufficient amount of materials and essential tools.

4. Right equipment

Ensure that you have all the tools that are required for the completion of the project and always use appropriate equipment and machinery. Some of the tools that you should have are:
